Beads of Life

The beads you see on this page are called Beads of Life. They are made by hand by the children in the secondary school to raise money for school supplies and for basic necessities of life. All money raised from the sale of these beads go directly to the children.

Step One:

Unwanted poster paper is collected and then cut into uneven strips

Step Two:

The children then roll the strips tightly until they resemble small beads. They are then varnished.

Step Three:

Once the beads are made (as shown) they are strung together.

Step Four:

They apply clasps and sometimes other small crystal-like beads
